ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Mark. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer locally serving Reno-Tahoe and Northern California.
Being predominantly left-brained, I approach almost everything in a structured manner. It's rare that a day goes by where I’m not following a thoughtfully curated to-do list. Although my brain is constantly adapted to analytical thought, several pockets of creativity yearn for attention. Hence, my love for fine art. When I’m not in front of the camera, I enjoy drawing, water coloring, or practicing the piano. These activities heighten my creative juices, while also playing the role as common denominator, balancing the left side of my brain with the right.
When photographing each session, I choose film as my primary medium. Film allows me to slow down and be more methodical in order to carefully craft each composition, thus producing beautiful and timeless images difficult to describe in just a few words. Conversely, when I’m unable to utilize natural light at its best potential, I switch over to the versatility of digital photography. Regardless of the tools used, my main priority is to preserve those important moments in the most beautiful way possible.
